As part of the UK Trusts Youth Programe, CYPI is overseen by a sub committee of Trustess and young people involved in our work. The sub committee represents a new development in the Trusts work – building in young people to their decision-making strucutres. Young people will work closely with Trustees over the direction of CYPI’s work, and oversee its budgets and management. The sub-committee also has, as part of its remit, the task of looking across the prgrammes of the Trust to make sure the involvement of children and young people is being put into practice. The committee meets three times each year, and reports directly to the Trust’s Executive Board.
Currently the Sub Committee comprises:
- Jeremy Holmes – a Carnegie UK Trust Trustee, and Chair of the Young People sub-committee
- Roz Mascharenas – Chair of the Young People’s Action Group
- Robin Watson – a Trustee of the Carnegie UK Trust
- James Doorley – a Trustee of the Carnegie UK Trust
- Roy Woodrow – a Trustee of the Carnegie UK Trust
- Rajeeb Dey – member of Action Group
- Gary Rowland – member of Action Group
