Current development/strategies

  1. To increase young people’s skills and self-confidence.
  2. To increase their understanding of how an organisation works.
  3. To encourage them to participate in planning the year’s events (Venturer weekend, summer camp, Welsh Annual Gathering).

In what ways are young people involved?

Group level – deciding on programme/priorities, learning about the organisation.
All-Wales level – talking part in joint planning meetings.

What have been the outcomes of involving young people?

  1. More informed decision-making (eg. on format of summer camp) which better reflects the needs and wishes of the young people.
  2. Increasing self-confidence amongst the young people themselves.
