Education and Democracy

In March 2005, the Carnegie UK Trust agreed a new programme of work under the theme of Schools and Democracy.

This work is led by Raji Hunjan, who is the UK Trust’s Director of Education and Democracy. The programme focuses on young people’s involvement in decision making, through the Citizenship Education Curriculum, the Internet and wider community partnerships. It aims to strengthen the voices of young people in democratic processes.

All our projects under this theme rely on partnership working and listening to the views of young people, practitioners and policy makers.
