Carnegie Young People Initiative are currently working on two projects to identify and promote the Impact of Children and Young People’s Participation. We are working with the Welsh Participation Consortium to develop a simple Impact assessment tool and with the University of Birmingham to identify the impact of pupil participation
Impact Assessment Tool
We are working with the Welsh Participation Consortium and Consultants to review and draw on relevant impact assessment work already in process/ place and develop a simple impact assessment tool which can be piloted and rolled out across Wales.
The tool that we develop must link with and ‘read across’ other impact assessment work, both in Wales and Internationally. It is also important that the tool links in with other relevant work of the Consortium e.g. national standards for participation.
