Supporting and encouraging good practice is one of CYPI’s key tasks between 2005 and 2007. We are doing this in a number of ways.
- By supporting practitioners across a wide range of settings to improve the way they help children and young people influence decision- making. We run and/or financially support practitioner networks across the UK: Participation Workers Network England, Children in Scotland, Children in Wales
- By co-ordinating a new consortium of organisations across England that will work together, with government, to improve participation opportunities and outcomes for children and young people
- By developing a new online gateway with partners to provide a means of accessing and sharing information on good practice, for organisations and individuals across the UK
- By working closely with organisations, consortia and governments in the UK and Ireland to foster greater exchange of learning about participation policy, practice and impacts.
